While cranking, the motor should read a few hundred RPMs. Its more than likely the crank sensor.

Try unplugging the camshaft sensor and start it. The PCM will bypass it.

The camshaft sensor is in the timing cover, below the water pump: http://mykidz.net/GTP/Images/CrankPosSensor/images/RemoveSencor_JPG.jpg

i cant get the cps plug disconnected fat fingers dont fit, but i followed the wire and it doesnt seem to be crushed at all. im thinking its got to be the icm cause if i should get impulses from that, that is prob what shows up for my rpms and im not getting that

are you sure your getting no spark?

I wouldn't use the nail thing, too many things can go wrong.

I would use the second way that he gave you. Take a spark plug, put it in the end of the wire and make sure the plug end is grounded to something metal, ie the top of the motor.

Then turn it over and see if you get spark, that would be a more tried and true method.

No tach reading while cranking? If no needle movement CPS is shot.

the needle doesnt physically move while cranking. you really need to get an RPM reader that you can put in an OBD2 port. Im betting that youre going to get a reading of 0. and then you will be able to really narrow it down

they make specal spark plug testers that one end goes over the plug and the other connects to your wire, and it lights up if there is spark check local parts store for them, eather CPS or something

If RPM is 0, i would guess its a CPS.

Another thing to check the ELEK IGN fuse. And it would help if you could disconnect the cam sensor to see it it works.

Edit: have you looked around at the ICM harness to see if its snug? or anything is frayed?
