Well does anyone have a preference to either franchise. I loved MC: Dub edition and also NFS Underground.

I almost picked up MC: LA today but i'm kinda interested in what NFS has to offer with their new installment.

NFS doesn't come out til Nov. 18th so i'm going to hold out and follow which one is possibly the better buy.

Just wanted to see what everyone else thinks? wink

Need For Speed Undercover video look like movie than videogame.

Midnight Club LA? It is kind okay to me.

Boy, I haven't played ps3 for long time. I brought it on October 2007. I played it on this winter season. I stop like March 2008. I need to play it soon lol

I've always been more of an NFS fan. But I'm not happy about the damage staying in Undercover. I mean, how are you supposed to smash through a police roadblock at 180+mph if your car is actually going to take damage from it? Not cool.

I can't wait for GTA IV to hit PC, then watch all the mods come out and thus = greater then many games to come ^-^. The potential of GTA IV on PC with mods is just gonna be crazy.

i think Midnight Club is more for people who like to build cars with big rims, hydralics, and do crazy unrealistic stunts that would be impossible to do in real life.

NFS is more like a realistic racer

Thats why I don't console game. Consoles aren't TOO expensive, but the games are what get you... I can just download stuff for free on the PC. smile

Well it's not too bad when you play it for a while get bored and trade in/sell the game. But yeah it can get pricey.

That's because they lose money for each console. Or at least, they used to, I don't know if they still do or not. I know at first the PS3 cost something like $900 to make, but they sold it for less than that otherwise they wouldn't sell any. Both Sony & Microsoft made their money off the games, not the systems.

Then you get trojans and virus's and all that nasty stuff.

Plus it's just downright being a thief wink

I don't buy first anymore I rent first if it's a highly replayble game I'll then buy it off the previously played rack.

BS, I've never had a virus/trojan. But you're right, it is stealing. However, if I actually like the game and it stays fun for more than a few hours, I will purchase it. So, kind of like renting.

I kept sitting there going "You could do that in NFS:MW. That too. Yep, that one. OK, that looks a little better done, but still not new." Then he got to the drifting and got my hopes up. Despite him claiming he did a couple drifts, he didn't do any. And the handling of the car he has just looks stupid. It looks like at 180mph it can take a 90* turn without the slightest bit of traction loss. Lame.

I saw that the other night. I thought the graphics looked awesome. Don't know about the "drifting" he did. Might be a fun game.

There are like no good games out for either system really. I'm waiting for God of War 3, UFC Undisputed 09, and Resident Evil 5 to come out, but that's a long wait right now. Who knows they will probably have to delay it too.

Well I passed on both of the racing games, due to some ugly reviews, and picked up Call of Duty: World at War. I have been playing this game non-stop all weekend. Online is too much fun!

I didn't really like COD:WAW's multiplayer for some reason, but the campaign was awesome, with co-op too. And the zombie mission? Coolest mission EVER! lol
