ARRRGH! banghead ...went to the gym this morning to have a light workout before I headed out for a bike ride...was there for all of 20-25mins...came back to my locker...lock gone! along with my wallet!...luckily there was no money and was able to come home and cancel all cards before any activity was made...I have no idea who it might have been except to say I'm very surprised that this would happen at a members club...whoever they are Ihope they rot in H-E-double toothpicks mad

man that sucks find out if there is a camera outside the door to the locker rooms and see if they recorded any one leaving with your wallet.

I assume the cut the lock or whacked it off...it was completely gone...they went thru everything but didnt take my keys or my cell phone (go figure)...I think I'm more ticked about losing all the pics that cant be replaced.

T bat I go to Ballys here in Brooklyn and the same happen to me. I was running and one of the gym guys walked up to me and said sr someone tryed to gegt your thing out of you locker and he needed me to see f I wanted charges pressed. i saw the guy and saw how he went through my shit and through it on the floor. i said hell yea, but i was lucky one of the traniers caught him. That's instense they cut it or some how wacked it off, I hope it wasn't just not locked to begin with. Usually you think gyms seem pretty safe, but on the other hand, there have been a lot of weirdo's at the gyms I've been to.

Does this gym you go to have any surveillance cameras set up anywhere?

I dont think they will ever be putting cameras in locker rooms where folks get in and out of the showers and their clothes...I'll just be locking my wallet in my car from now on.

I knew you would come back with that line, that is why I had a broad question about the cameras, like in other areas that may have picked up some suspicious characteristics of some kind. Plus I don't know what type of locker room it is, if its full out locker room, or like something that just has lockers on a hall wall.

I guess I was kind of thinking along the same lines as 20gtp02, just envisioning a hallway with a bunch of lockers in it, not so much a changing/showering/locker room in one. Makes sense now why there were not any cameras in there

yeah its a pretty complete locker room...showers, sinks and mirrors, lockers w/shoe wells and direct access to the pool area. They do have pic ID at the front desk when you swipe your card to come in...what I think they need is a turnstile to swipe when you come in and when you leave...then you could have camera records of everyone in and out.
