Well i got my first ticket today.....

Wow around here you get caught driving with only a permit and without an adult in the car you can pretty much say goodbye to getting a license for a while. And for that very reason seldom does anybody take the chance and do something like that. Guess they do things differently in Iowa...

It has nothing to do with the city I live in, which isn't really that big. But the state is the one who makes the driving laws, not your town.

Here's a tip: see if any cities near by have a Citizen Police Academy program. It's a (usually free) course you can take and gain more knowledge about law enforcement. I'm sure each city does it differently.

My point is, when I graduated, I bought a simple $3 decal to put on my back window. That decal has gotten me out of two situation without the cop even bothering to run my license (one today, for doing 44 in a 30), got me a warning on an inspection sticker that have expired 5 months earlier, AND got me a warning for doing 58 in a 45 (that was honestly an accident) in a city that, from what I'm told, NEVER gives warnings.

That $3 has saved me some serious cash. Worth looking in to. ;-)

I have a sticker on my trunk lid that got me out of 1 situation where the cop said he couldn't even get me on his radar and he seen my lunch bag and ask me your late for work, I told him yea but I was coming from work and just ran with what the cop was saying.

But somebody took my sticker off my car and use some type of beer to lube the sticker to come off . I still don't know who took my sticker.

would a sticker stating " I hate cops" get you out of anything? J/K

but its funny to me that a sticker that shows you attended a "Citizen Police Academy program" to learn about law enforcement, gets you OUT of tickets for breaking the law....... I am a bit confused on this logic!

Hey, it's not like I was flouting the law...but it's sort of like the "professional courtesy" cops show other cops. It doesn't work as well, but it gets you out of the small stuff.

its a school permit, i get to drive to school and what i thought school activities.I got pulled over leaving a volleyball game. i was going straight home and right as i left town he pulled me over... i was polite and wasnt being rude in anyway. he told me that i couldnt drive to school activites unless i was participating in them....i heard different from others such as other teachers and my principal but it happened o well ill keep yall posted

and yes thats my car on a boar ramp lol
