Anyone watch last night on speedvision. It was a sweet episode. Dedicated to the GN. Nothing but 30 minutes of GN that and GN this. It was awesome. More impressive was just the numbers the GNX made stock. 276 hp and 360 TQ. Not bad from 84 when GN's only made 200hp and 300TQ.

Were those numbers from the '87? I've heard that the last year they made the GN, they went crazy and just poured everything into it.

Yup those are 87 numbers. Good chsnce though it was underated. It was still pulling off mid to high 13's though. In 87 they added a torque bar that went from the frame to the differential to keep the differential from twisting underload. Therefore transfereing even more of the power to the ground instead of drivetrain losses.
