Made the fool mistake of looking at the KBB value of my car yesterday. Private party value is down to measly $3500. With all the mods I am still considering (engine, trans, paint and interior) I am so far out stripping this cars value as to make me scratch my head. If I sold it to my daughter it would make a fine ride for many more years...add to the fact that for some reason I just cant seem to stop looking at Hemi Chargers. I dont need to worry about this issue right now since I cant afford to buy another car, barring a lotto ticket or something else miraculous. I've had slumps like this before with my car but I'm having a hard time shaking this one.
I would still love to make it into a badazz machine but the cost of all those mods together would buy another newer car.
I guess only time will tell since I have few other options at present.
Boosten's ride looks great lowered but I'm to chicken to go back down that road again...at any rate, I suppose time will work this one out for me before long.

since you already have it paid off i would keep it. the mod bug will always be there but if you sell it the car wont. i would stop the mod process for now save up for a down payment and get something new with a warranty. that way you have something to drive everyday and not have to worry about repair costs then start modding the GP again.

I've already got my Sebring that I'm driving most of the time anyway...partly because its summertime and partly because its doing very good on fuel. I'm also loving the mp3 6 disc head unit. It used to be that when I was out of the GP for while when I got back in it I missed driving it alot...now every time Iget in it all I can see is how much more work it needs and all those mods are cash out of pocket vs buying another car in few years. Maybe things will change later. I'm probably gonna go out and drive a Hemi Charger in the next few days just to get the bug out of my system...or make decision one way or the other.

You will miss it if it's gone.

We all go through this. I'm secretly hoping my car burns to the ground.

wow...we got a lot of love/hate relationships going on here lol

I guess thats why I think about selling the car to my daughter. She wont be worried about modding, she'll just drive it cuz it sounds good and has a kickin stereo with an iPod hookup. It would most likely run well for a few years to come without any major issues. Ijust get to start over with another car and I dont know how much my wife will like that (she hates car payments...cant fault her there) plus some modding on top of that I'm sure will make her frown. I have no defense for such actions since it does seem a little silly to keep doing this over and over. I also have to consider I only have just so many years left before retirement.

Tbat I heard a sick Charger walking into work the other day. I wanted to go over there and talk with them, but I had to clock in.
Best sounds I heard in awhile.

The Hemi Chargers a nice car but with a cam and top swap your GP will be quicker, the problem with all your modding you've made a bad ass looking ride but it's like a neutered bull missing a pair, your car your choice but a 100+ hp will kill some of the slump me thinks.Chico(pops)

Put a few coats of Zaino on the bad looking black car and take it cruising this weekend. That will cure what is bothering you.

I'm definitely jealous of how awesome your ride is, and after moving/trying to save for wedding my mod fund is very small right now, but if I were you I know what I do in regards to keeping it/selling it....

cough turbo cough cheers

I think the Daytona Chargers are really lame. Unless you have a mullet, then its a nice fit.
