CAI intake - build it yourself for under $100 (K&N cone filter is the most expensive part)
U bend delete - less than $100
ZZP or Overkill PCM - $100
that's about it really.

What is it about Desert Rats, JATO, and mid-/full-size cars? Haven't ya learned from the 65 Impala? Leave this guy alone. (Those who don't know the urban legend, ask, and I shall tell.)

That someone took a JATO and strapped it to his 65 Impala. He tried to stop after the JATO engaged and the brakes melted. He went 300mph (i think) or some rediculous speed and he crashed and all hell broke loose. They did it on MythBusters (my second favorite show) and they busted it.

Yep. Another version is that the tires melted, the rims were ground down until he was grinding brakes, the rim skipped off the asphalt, then he took flight and made a crater about 100-150 feet up the mountain. The story finishes saying all they found was a steering wheel with a tooth or two in it. As Igor said, it is but a legend/story.
