The o-rings on the fuel injectors at TirePlus. I told my buddy to go see his mechanic to have them replaced so I don't have to do it on a hot car when he comes up to get a scan/tune. He said his mechanic was too busy and he stopped by TirePlus and they quoted him $190. Crazy!!!

$190 for $10 worth of parts. Sounds almost as bad as transmission work. Luckily, they're easy to replace.

Worst quote I ever got was $1200.00 for a heater core in my 93' SHO.

Then I decided to see what was entailed in the installation of the 12 dollar heater core...oye!

If you can believe it, the entire dash, front seats, air conditioning (because Ford stuffed a Yamaha race motor in the engine bay and there was no room for the condensors or accumulators in the enginebay) had to come out.

needless to say, I had the work done and shelled out $1200.00....three times before I got rid of that money sucking pos.

I still have over 25k in reciepts for repairs on that car....

Actually if they buy the O rings in bulk, they're only a few cents.
When he comes up for a scan/tune, just let it sit for a while. Set a fan over the engine too.

Dang... That's 1.5hrs too much in labor.

I'd recommend what zuul said.
