So my buddy got a free kayak, looking for another, so we can start kayaking.
He borrowed the yellow for me.
Went out about noon today and headed up river to some islands. I would say its 1 mile north to the first one. Probably paddled 4 miles today.
I got a nice tan while I was out there.
This is why I love Florida!

Nice weather. I never try kayak. Is it pretty good workout like strong arm? I'm getting workout next year for 2009 "my goal" plan.

I love kayaking but twin river lake is freakin frozen... Grr

its pretty cool how calm the water is i envy the fact that you can go in the lake at this time of year with out freezing lol

See those Condos in the foreground, that is the beach!!!
It's only 1/4-1/2 mile wide once you get over the river here.
The morning, say 7am, the river looks like a lake. Its literally glass.
I live pretty close to across from him, on the condo side.
But I don't live on the water.

man, i can not wait until i move down there!! Its gonna be soo much fun to not have to deal with winter anymore! lol

I have vacationed in FL a few times... not a fan, too damn HUMID! But then again, I'm a Desert Rat, so anything is humid to me... Looks nice though!

You would hate today, then. I stepped outside and its like 88* and 90% humidity.

...and here I thought VA was the only place where you got hi temps AND humidity thick enough to slice thru (except maybe South Carolina)

I always figured ocean breeze would keep humidity levels down in Florida.

Think the South is bad? Try Korea. That place is disgusting humid, silly hot, and stupid cold. Hate that country.
