congrats dude! Don't do the mistake I did like 2 weeks after I got my liscence... I went 55 in a 35 zone. $124.90 ticket, plus half the points taken off my liscence.
I shouldn't forget to mention that my insurance premiums almost doubled when the insurance company found out about it...

Oh yeah, it happened on friday the 13th, and I had a parking ticket earlier that day too! banghead

Be careful man. A friend of mine just got a 02 Ford Ranger and just got his license. His mom paid $8500 for the truck and gave it to him. First time I've ever seen him drive it, we were going fishing, and were following behind him in my buddy's Jeep Wrangler, and he pulled into a sporting goods store and hit a parked truck while pulling into a parking spot. Hadn't even had the truck a month yet. Please be careful dude.

Congrats! Also, I will give you the best advice my driving instructor ever gave "It's not illegal if you don't get caught." thumbsup
Just don't hit me if your driving around Toledo or if I'm up in Detroit for a Tigers game.

I also heard that for teenagers, driving with one or more friends in your car DOUBLES your chances of a major accident.

So quit goofing off when you are driving your buddies around.

most definately the worst advice you could give someone just getting their license.

I dont really have any good advice though I dont think, I would just say the best thing you can do be aware of your surroundings, and always pay attention to the woman on her cell phone, she will most likely be the one to side swipe you

Man i'm glad i didn't own a GTP when i first got my license. RESPECT, RESPECT, RESPECT.. As hard as it will be remember that... It'll keep you and others alive.

While unrelated it just reminded me of something. about 6 months ago (last summer), one of my best friends moms was killed by 2 corvettes racing around a bend when 1 of them ended up on the sidewalk. She was out for a walk on a nice summer night. These were both older experienced drivers and still look what happened...

Congrats man.

Cheers!
