okay guys well life is kinda rough right now... money is pretty good but family isn't and this summer it will just be me and my mom and my lil bro...

well i usually work 40 hrs a week during the summer like 8-5...

well my mom also has to have a full time job or two... and my lil brother would have to stay home by himself all day and that def. is not going to happen... so i need to work nights...

i don't know how i'm gonna do it... i'm only 17 so i don't think it's even legal to do that but i need to, i have no other choice... what kind of job could i get that would work out? anybody own any businesses that could get me hooked up here?

i'm a hard worker and i'm good at whatever i do... i was a groundskeeper last summer and a hod stocker for a brick mason the summer before so i know about hard work and i worked at hco during school this year and got employee of the year so i obviously have a good work ethic but i just need some help... thanks guys... i just don't know what i'm gonna do...

I don't know what child labor laws are there, but if working late nights (usually slacked rules for summer anyway) is illegal, there is no way you'll get any reputable business to go with it.

Good, easy, night jobs are usually found at convenience stores and motels. They don't pay much, but if you're already working a day job, the rest might be worth it and still get paid. Most manual labor jobs are daytime only, unless its some kind of construction project for the city/state.

You could try stores like Target, Walmart etc. Most of their deliveries are at night and that's when they unload the trucks etc. Heck UPS/FEDEX/DHK has night shift work.

Factory jobs have night shifts, but I think you have to be 18 with a diploma.

Being underage and still in school, it is going to be tough to find something that is going to work out for ya.

I guess it will depend on the hours you can work and want to work. You probably won't get your 40 hrs/wk but you can start work at like 5PM and work til 9PM or later and pick up 20-30hrs/wk.

Look into stores like Dollar General, Family Dollar, stuff like that. I was an assitant manager at Dollar General and I was usually able to work out a schedule for specific peoples wants/needs. Hope you find something and GOOD LUCK!

there is always closers at fast food joints...or even most of them are 24 hours now. That would be a night position. The pay isnt too great, but if you are willing, im sure you could get 40 hours. I used to work at wendys back in the day and the closers would come in at 4 and work until 12:30.

I was in the same situation years ago. I found a job at a local liqour/convenience store (we knew the owners). I worked there all through high school.

It wasn't glamorous, but it made enough money to help my mom with the bills

You can try restaurnts, they start 4pm till late, but some have 18 yrs of age restrictions, and under that there are some hours of limitation. But if you want 8pm to later, find a night stocker, Lowes, HomeDepot (just closed 15 stores) somethign like that, no customers to bother you!

Thats your best bet because I use to do it while I was in college working overnight at home depot. I don't know about where you live at but here they start between 10-12 dollars in hour.
