205/70R/15

and i found some tires that i want to pick up sizing is

205/75/15 and thats 2 3/4" whitewall
215/75/15 and thats 3" Whitewall
225/75/15 and thats 3" Whitewall

im just wondering what would look the best

how about 225/50/15? That would make the sidewall a little bit smaller, so that the overall diameter would remain about the same. Not sure what that would make the whitewall, but it sure would look fat against those slimmer walls.

you can use a tire size calculator if you do a google search.

some website with the name miata in it is the best one I find.

Just looking at your tire sizes though I can tell you're going the wrong way.

If you want wider and to keep the same tire height then the aspect ratio has to be lower. In the examples you gave you're going higher.

How to read tire size

205/75/r15

205 is the nominal tread with in mm
75 is the aspect ratio for the side wall. Basically with the 75 the sidewall is 75% of the tread width so the side wall is approx 153.75mm from rim to tread.
R is the speed rating in laymans terms the max sustainable safe speed for the given tire.
15 is the rim size in inches.

by max sustainable, it's driving the car for 8 hours at that speed without tire failure.

www.bigwheels.net will show you tire sizes in width as well as overall height (also shown in mm) but it gives you an idea of how much taller or shorter the tire can be. I think the biggest thing you will be up against is what sizes come in wide whites and how much clearance do you have to play with.
