I just got back from the fifth movie. It was ok, but they cut out way to many details. If you haven't read the book, you won't know why a lot of what's going on is going on.
For example, you wouldn't understand why three people are caught trying to use Umbridge's fire, but then there are 6 people in her office in trouble for it. Or pretty much anything about the prophesy.
And before anyone says "The movie is made for people who read the book," I disagree (or think that if they did that, it's a stupid reason). Most people who read the books think the movies are disappointing (or at least, that's what everyone I've talked to says).

Stopped in at a store last night to pick up some stuff a little after midnight. HOLY CRAP! The entire store was over run by little harry potters and potter fans of all ages. Saw a few people that were easily in their forties with wizrd robes on. Some kids even had stuffed owls perched on their shoulders. There were people sitting in the furniture section of the store reading the book. I have never seen so many people at a store at one time. You would have thought there was a new game system being released.

Here's the benefit of ordering from Amazon.com: I was in bed asleep last night at midnight, enjoying it, and had the book by 10:30 this morning.

A bunch of crazies, those people are... same folks that dress up and camp outside theatres when Star Wars came out, and same idiots waiting in subzero temps for the Playstation 3 to come out. What a waste of time and life

Some of the people I saw buying the latest book were really intending to make a night of it. A few people had a couple fifths in their shopping cart along with a copy of the book. 800 pages is too much for me. I'll take a car magazine over a book any day (mainly because of the pictures)
