just got a call from my principal, due to sub zero temperatures we'll be off school tomorrow. I'm kinda happy, but I hate making the days up at the end of the year. I coach the 5th/6th grade basketball team (school is K-6) and our season is getting started a week late now.
I also lost my phone tree, so I hope there's not too many teachers below me on the list that try to make it in tomorrow.
Kinda wierd, my first year in the school district there was a day that basically every chicago suburb was off except for us, it took me an hour and a half to go 10 miles and there was basically no traffic (I did also have the firebird back then, even with sandbags it was an adventure that day)

I know they're actually made for the 04+, but the measurements seemed fine and I took them out and put it next to the muffler and it seems to line up perfectly. Can't wait to get them on.

Id say 98% of the schools in this state are closed, right now its -24 temp and -38 windchill

yeah you guys have a lot colder temps then we do...i just picked up my youngest sister from finals at the high school, the gp said it was -9 out. Looking at the forecast I couldn't believe how could it was in some places. My middle sister goes to college on Lake Superior in Wisconsin, -20 with a -42 wind chill, so she's in the same boat as you guys. -9 is cold, but honestly it's sunny right now and not snowing so it's manageable

When it is snowing bad outside. I never have school make up for end of year. I guess deaf school is different than public school.

lucky! most schools have a certain number of days built in to the schedule in anticipation of snow days, but once you exceed that, you make them up in the summer (well, most northern schools I suppose).

yeah its -24 here right now and my car didnt want to start as well but i had it in a garage so no wind chool ,but it did woo.

I got mine started okay, it just didn't want to, turned over very slowly. Heard some people had to try 5+ times to get theirs going. Yech.

Still had school today, district said since everybody was studying so hard for finals that it wouldn't be fair to cancel school and make us come back next Tuesday to makeup the finals. I didn't really mind the cold this morning and now I get to enjoy my 4 and a half day weekend with ZERO schoolwork!

It's +50 here and I am cold.

well I think we hit our high temp for the day -6 with -16 wind chill, supposed to be back down to -23 again tonight then snow and warmer, might hit +31 by tuesday

My sister called from Neenah WI and had -14 temp & -40 wind chill. We only had 8 temp and -5 wind chill today. I can say I do not miss Wisconsin winters all that much. Yes, the snow, but not the temps. We will have 40 tomorrow and 50 Sunday and 60 on Tuesday.
Looks like 20 & snow for the Steelers/Ravens game and 75 and sunny for the Cards/Eagles
