As you all may have known before I was going turbo.

Well, the turbo was still on the guys van (he swapped in a 3800 to his montana van which he then turbo'd) so he kept saying the turbo would be off soon and that we could meet up.

I sent him some money on December 9, we were exchanging PM's, slowly but surely, since that time time up until a few weeks ago.

I tried numerous times to contact him through PM and also using the cellphone number he gave me. Finally one Friday (Feb, 6) I did manage to get a hold of him. He fed me some lies about being in the hospital and that we could meet up that Sunday. He gave me an email address and said to call him later that day or the next to set up a time and place. He never answered or returned any of my calls after that.

He hasn't been seen online the forum that this deal was set up in a long time, but after some searching I did find that he has been on another forum on February 16, 2009. His last post there was February 11, 2009. So he has been active since him and I last talked.

Now when calling his phone it goes straight to voicemail, even from other phones with other area codes incase he had my number blocked.

He also owes parts to another person that can also not get ahold of him.

I have been searching the net and have the numbers of all people with his first initial and last name in his area. There are about 20 different numbers...

I cannot dispute it with paypal because it has been more than 45 days since I sent payment.

So I decided to post a thread on the local forum asking if anyone has his address. If I have his address I can atleast confront him so he cannot give me the run around or I can file with Small Claims Court. No one seems to have his address... however one person did find
this article, posted 7 days ago.

Quote:
Two Kitchener men have been arrested in connection with trailer break-ins at Wildwood Conservation Area this past fall.

Waterloo Regional police were doing an investigation into property thefts from recreational trailers in the Kitchener area. Police obtained a search warrant for a home in Kitchener and found property from some of the 41 trailers that were broken into at Wildwood on Oct. 30.

Richard Jasny, 25, of Kitchener, faces eight counts of break and enter and possession of stolen property. Jeffrey Kuntz, 22, of Kitchener, faces seven break and enter and possession of stolen property charges.

They are scheduled to appear in court in Cambridge in March.

Thieves took alcohol, stereo equipment, DVD players and TVs after smashing windows with an axe and wooden to get inside the trailers.
Jeffrey Kuntz is the guy.

So now it seems like I have to contact the police if I want anything to be done about this.

Now, after spending quite a bit of money on buying parts for my turbo build, I think I will be staying supercharged after selling most of my supercharged build parts.

Just thought I would share my most recent problems.

I think I am going to stick to local pick ups from now on.

Wow bro I hope you get him some how! Sucks that it has gone to the police now. Just makes things that much more difficult.

Sorry to hear about this bro I was really looking forward to your build.

That sucks. :-( With what you have though you should be able to track him down. Check facebook/myspace. ;-) People have been served through there before, courts found it to be a legal means of summons.

Well their has been some good news since then.

I made a thread about him on another site that I know he visits and this finally got some attention drawn on him.

Well he said he'd paypal me the money back but after 2 weeks of waiting he said that his paypal account is froze becaues he has an outstanding complaint against him.

So he texted me yesterday and we have set up a meeting at his place tonight (after many hours of digging I figured out where he lives, and NOW he txts me his address, that's frustrating) to pick up my things. I got him to knock $300 off the price because of the whole hassle and waiting.

I hear he is a good guy and great to do deals with in person, so who knows, he may just make good today.

I will let you all know. If I don't respond back in this thread by tomorrow night, please come looking for me!! lol, he may have me locked up and force me to 'rubz da lotion on mah skin' haha.

I am meeting at his apartment. I'm bringing my brother but I don't fear the guy is going to rip me off or try to do any harm.

I know no body in law enforcement.

I don't plan on staying long, just to get my chit and get out.

I am actually meeting another person at his shop, he is dropping his motor back in today, he bought my SBC cam off of me.

Will be a long day, don't get done work till 7, then I have a 3 hr drive there, get my stuff, stick around at the shop for a bit and then a 3 hr drive back. And I work tomorrow too.

Phew, made it back in one piece. With everything intact, at that!

I hate Toronto highways, I'm VERY shocked that I didn't pop one of my front tires on 3 or 4 different occasions. Also surprised that my strut mount didn't break and send my strut through my hood!

Not to mention the drivers, 2 Honda Civic hatchbacks were all over the place and then slam on their brakes right in front of me and slow down to about 45 mph with no one in front of them! It's alot easier to stop a 2500lbs car with 14" rims compared to a 3500 lbs car with 18"s!

And then this Montana van gets so close to me that I can't see his headlights. He's in a van, i'm in a lowered car and I can't see his lights...
So I brake checked him because I actually wanted him to hit me so I could get some new paint and who knows, maybe a 2 dr coupe? So then I move over to the next lane and the guy just stays at my speed right next to me like he wants to race or something.

Anyways, I got the stuff, I'm not locked in a trunk somewhere and I got a really good deal on it, just had to wait 4 months to get it.

I hate people that tailgate for no reason. The ONLY time I do it is when I can't get around the person in front of me, they are going slower than I want to, and they don't have anyone in front of them, meaning they could get out of the way.

I have a feeling you are going to like the end result of my engine bay, Rick. I'm very excited to get started. Just about have everything I need.

I will take lots of pics of the removal of the engine, the tear down and install of cam, intercooler, turbo and of everything going back in.

toque specs, part numbers, estimated time for completion, dyno before and after, THE WOIKS!!! A vid would be nice, but chances of having sufficient tape, lighting, sound recording, et cetra, is very slim.

And, yeah, I am eagerly awaiting the install!

there will be no dyno before, probobly not even after. possibly after, I'm not sure. Maybe i'll just make a vid of me dancing and shouting in excitement of how much faster it is? That work?

I can put together a slideshow of the install I'm sure, that is close to a vid.

I want to hurry up and get everything purchased so I can pull it and get things powdercoated.
I could get everything powdercoated now except my tb cause I don't have a stock PCM to put back in and swap over to my stock TB/MAF to drive in the meantime.

I have to find somewhere around here that does chroming.

Google helps.

A vid of you doing the Snoopy Happy Beagle Dance would make up for the lack of technical support videos. And then some. That would be viral! lol
