Its been a slow moving but I'm starting the electrical part of my rx-7 project (91 mazda rx-7 with GTP engine and camaro 5-speed).
I have a pretty good idea of what I want to put on the dash as far as gauges and switches, but I wanna know what else you guys think I could do.

Above steering wheel:
*large Tach
*large Speedo
*small oil pressure
*small fuel pressure
*small boost
*small coolant temp

Center area:
*aeroforce gauge
*volts (digital?)
*pyrometer (digital?)
*wideband display (digital?)
*"danger to the manifold" indicator
*radiator fan controller (industrial PID, lol)
*intercooler water temp
*trans temp

*switch, intercooler pump
*switch, radiator fans AUTO/ON
*switch, IC pump, fans, & electric water pump (AUTO/ON/DELAY OFF)
*selector switch, ign timing advance/retard

*switch, interior lights
*switch, headlight HIDs
*switch, parking lights
*switch, fog lights
*gauge brightness adjust

*switch, defroster heaters
*switch, cabin heater

*ign/start keyswitch
*switch, accy only
*button, fuel pump cutout
*alarm indicator
*button, alarm off (temperature controllers and displays are linked to central alarm monitor that will alert to abnormally high temperatures or low pressures)

gas gauge?

How are you going to measure the IC water temp? Just like you would measure coolant?

Haha thanks T-bat... I forgot all about that. I'll need to see what the factory tank's sensor ohm range is and try to find an aftermarket gauge.

Corey, yeah I'm just gunna try to fit something up like that. I can get some industrial thermocouples that are like bolts that measure the temperature at their tips, and have a wire coming out of the head.

Let me know how that goes with the temp reading. I'm curious if I could make something like that happen with some of my a/a intercooler piping.
