what are your thoughts on dynomax turbo mufflers? i could get some for around 70 bucks for 2 brand new. anybody have them? darthvader

They are pretty quiet compared to most perf mufflers, but deeper and louder than stockers. They flow tons of air. I've had them on my Saturn & Escort GT, Chevelle & 01 Monte.

IIRC you have no resonator and no U-bend so you will notice a little sound increase but you will get no drone with these. Make sure you order the smaller of the two models.

Take a look at my post from Apr 08. I have a Car Craft article comparing cheap mufflers that was done years ago. The Summit Turbo and Dynomax Super Turbo have about the same power numbers, flow numbers and sound numbers. I put a summit turbo on my daughters 3.1 Beretta and it is pretty quiet. The dynomax super turbo on my Saturn and Escort back in the day were actually louder. My only concern is how long will the summit muffler last. My super turbos lasted lots of years and miles.
