When you say supercharger your saying Top Mount right?
I <3 centrifugal blowers don't get me wrong every time I see an F2 Procharger I nut a little however centrifugal blowers have the same downfall as a top mount roots style. They are both belt driven.
You run into belt slip even with 8 rip setups. You have to buy pulleys you have to drop pulleys to increase boost and you cannot brake boost. Also you cannot two step well there would be no point on a blower really...
Turbos on the other hand are exhaust driven and turbo lag is very low on most cars since most cars don't slap a T freakin 88 on their engines.
Turbo lag all comes down to stroke, how fast the exhaust can leave the turbine side and how fast the compressor side can shoot the air into your engine.
Grand prix's have one of the worst setup for spool and I am still at full boost before 2.8rpms. Most hit boost between 3 -4k depending on size of turbo etc.
Here is my look on it
Turbo + Auto = Godly
Turbo + Manual = you better not drop out of boost
Supercharger + Manual = good because even if you drop in your rpm band the boost is instant.
Top mount blowers suck because of heat. The typical non I/C m90 has an exit temp over 200* ... 2 freakin hundred degrees!!! If I want my air that hot ill tie my exhaust into my intake thank you very much. And top mount I/C aren't very efficient at all.
I like centrifugal because you fmic same with turbo's.
Meth is always a good solution too but if you shoot it in between your S/C and Maf say bye bye to your coating.
With newer tech there is fast spooling turbos and soon to be lag free. But ill believe it when I see it. Until then 2 step ftmfw
