SON OF A! Well on my way home with the girlfriend i was driving down MY STREET, cop was sitting there waiting for ME specificly. Said got a few calls about a Silver GTP hauling up and down the road, its BS, i do 40 max down our road which is a 35 speed limit, im not stupid, well i came up over the hill, said he clocked me doing 42, followed me into my driveway, did the whole pull over scene, then wrote me 5 over on my own dang road which isnt even a busy street AT ALL, im just pissed because the neighbors complain me and my brother have louder faster cars and say we speed all the time and they dont say nothing about the people that blow through the stop sign on the cross street. Its total bs! Well this is my 3rd ticket so far with this car. Son of a...... this is gonna hurt the wallet.

That's y I never do over the speed limit close to home. In residential areas you have to do exactly speed limit for this reason.

Speeding is speeding. Own the responsibility, pay the ticket and try to learn from the experience. There's only one person to be upset at in this situation. The driver.

I'm 100% agree with AustinGTP.
I never speed on residental area because they have children/people around. I don't want to hit them so I'm staying 25 mph limit. I know they didn't pay attention on road. I rather not be that guy like doing 40 mph on 25 mph that kill little girl on road or something like that. My apt residental neighbor (other building) who have fast car doing stupid stuff like going 40-50 mph on 25 mph speed limit. It was stupid.

14 points your licence is suspended. I'm at 2 because 5 over tickets are 0 points. And Impeding Traffic is 0 points as well, only have 2 points for "Driving without Due care or Caution" aka street racing knocked down to a lesser charge. All together i have....
Driving Without Due Care Or Caution- 2 Points 5 Over Highway- 0 Points Drag Racing dropped to Impeding Traffic- 0 Points 5 Over Highway- 0 Points Window Tint- 0 Points, just fine. 5 Over My Road- 0 Points
So i am sitting at 2 points right now. Insurance isnt so bad at the momment. But if i keep getting tickets its gonna get worse.

A cop writing a ticket for doing 5 over is a cop being an ***hole. Plain & simple. Palsut, you realize doing 40 as opposed to 25 only adds a few feet to your stopping difference? Not paying attention is what kills someone, not doing 40. Geez... *EDIT* Or doing a 0-70 run on a public road, thinking that doing it at the track is stupid.

Geez... *EDIT* Or doing a 0-70 run on a public road, thinking that doing it at the track is stupid. You are clearly moron. I'm saying people like children don't pay attention on the road. It is residental area. They are playing around like soccer ball. They chase the ball on road without watch the car on the road. You need read it again. Where did I say public road? It is on highway. The speed limit is 65. It is kind like same way as like flat tire on shoulder or go pee on the wood if you can't hold it bad. Do you think I want go like 5 mph on the lane with other car 65 mph smash my rear bumper? I think not. It has nothing to do with 0-70 mph on drag track. You are missing big point. I'm saying my "slow" SE don't work on drag track. It was like 18 seconds. Do I want to do that? I think not. Let 6 seconds cars have fun. No reason to use 18 seconds slow car kill their fun. Again I REPEAT 0-70 IS nothing have to do with drag track. You just can't read that crap. I think you need new glasses.

We all know SE's are too slow to be dangerous in any form. Children have plenty of time to get out of the way.

lol... well, good that you only have 2 points, though I would think your insurance would be potentially affected with each moving infraction, regardless if it gave you points or not. Originally posted by Acefighter: A cop writing a ticket for doing 5 over is a cop being an ***hole. Plain & simple. A lot of cops will drop your speeding down to 5 over if they are giving you a break on a higher offense.
