Just got through watching episode one from season one. Show was horrible. Much better nowadays.

I think they went off the air for year or two because the show was bad...I think they said it was 2002 when they came back on the air. I agree tho, those early shows were boring as heck.

the new ones are hilarious as heck though. I only hate the way they constantly criticize american cars, but if you can get past that the show is genuinely funny, and sometimes brilliant.

You hate they call a spade a spade. They do give credit where credit is due.

The older ones aren't bad, but aren't nearly as funny as today.

the newest season just started back up in England time to start downloading them every sunday night.

Both of the links I posted are from the newest season. I thought the "Stig" taking off his helmet was amusing.

Michael Shumaker(sp?)isn't the stig.

I forgot to mention in S1E1 they took a diesel Volvo drained all the fuel out of it and put vegatable oil in the tank and ran it with no mods to the fuel system or engine. I know that cooking oil can be used but I've always seen it done with some type of kit and the car has to be started on diesel.

For fuel they used 97 parts used veggie oil(the guy who did the test said used oil works better then new oil)and three parts white spirits(non kerosine based for tax purposes)

There are several people I know of in my company who run veggie oil. It's a good idea.

I like that show, but even not being a US Citizen I can see they are not objective when is about an american car.
I jus saw the one with the Challenger, the Zr1 and the Cadillac, was a nice one and they have to accept that those are awesome cars.

When it's European. For the most part, they do nothing but rag on American cars and don't talk about anything good. Heck for quite a while, if you look back, every American car went around their track in the rain. Maybe coincidence, but it sure doesn't seem like it. Maybe the Americans cars aren't as good as the others, but their bias only makes their review worse.

Well Clarkson did own a Ford GT and iirc a ZO6 at one time.

They love the power but they dog the quality and old school set ups like the transverse leaf on the vettes.

Clarkson owned a Ford GT, yes, but did he ever say ONE good thing about it? No.

And I don't remember hearing about him owning a Z06, though I may just not have heard about it. However, from the way he just complained and ignored all of the positives when he was reviewing it, I doubt it. He complained about a lot of minor things, nothing major, but acted like it was the end of the world.
