They just selected Heath Ledger as the guy to play the Joker:

They should just that one alone because I really like the Tim Burton version.

I hope it's as dark and sinister as Batman Begins.

Yea, Batman Begins was by far the best Batman movie yet.

I'm telling you. I thought the whole Batman movie thing ws dead until Batman Begins. it truly was a good movie. It really gave some visual insight into his past. Honestly though, I hope they don't screw this one up.

Agreed with the Begins comments. I have one problem though: if they really wanted to get dark, I mean PSYCHOTICALLY dark, they should've secured the freak we all know as Johnny Depp. I don't much care for the guy because he is so weird on screen, but he is perfect for a Batman villian.

there are plenty of freaks left in the Rogues Gallery of Batman villians...Jack Nicholson was a strong Joker in the first Tim Burton film, so much so that Micheal Keaton was totally over shadowed...I thought for a long time that no one could top that performance until Mark Hamill voiced the Joker for the animated series. He was manical and funny at the same time. Heath Ledger is a very talented actor who has shown what a wide range he truly has, so that puts all the pressure on the script and the director. If they stick to the same basics that they did with "Batman Begins" they should be in good shape. "Begins" was also in my mind the first film that captured gritty brutality that I love in the comics...Batman wont kill and he wont use a gun, but he isnt a cop and he'll beat you to an inch of your life...this is the whole reason criminals fear him so badly...I really loved the scene where he yanked the dirty cop up by his ankles and used him like a yo-yo...that was classic Bat.

Jim Carey did a bang up job with the riddler I thought. He was by far my favorite villian of the other series.

I heard a while ago that crispan glover (back to the future, willard) was going to be joker. I really was hoping that he would, because he is crazy in every day life so I figure he would be able to carry that over onto the screen fairly well. Glover does not have the big name like Ledger, but I think glover would be a far better joker than ledger could ever be.

Batman: Joker want to go fishing?
Joker (played by Heath Ledger) Sounds fun!
Batman's wife: I know you two do not go up there and go fishing!

sorry folks but I got quite enough of that from the Joel Schumacher films...Val Kilmers butt shot on the big screen was too far "over the mountain" shall we say.
