I'm sorry to hear your story. Like others have said, you will get over it. I know that is hard to understand at this point, especially since she is probably your first real girlfriend judging by your age. I keep telling my teenagers that high school flings are 99% short term. How many people marry someone they dated in High School, much less someone they met in HS. Actually, the earlier in life you deal with a cheating girl, the better off you are. You will see that 90% of women are evil, and 95% of us guys are jerks.
Forget her and have some alcohol and drug free fun with the guys. You don't need any chemicals running in your veins as you recover from this. In fact, realize that drugs and booze are always bad, especially at your age. I'm not saying never have a beer or two, just never use it when mad or depressed. I may sound like a broken record, but the sooner you learn to deal with the crap life sends your way without needing a vice (tobacco, drugs, alcohol) the better a person you will be. Life sucks, everyone knows that, it is up to you how little it sucks. Hopefully you have a relationship with your parents where you can all discuss these events, if not, a paster, counselor or another adult. You should realize your parents most likely went through the same thing you are going thru with your girl. I bet, right now they are hurt and probably trying to figure out where they went wrong with your attempted suicide.
Remember what Annie said, "Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I love you tomorrow, you're only a day away".
This event can shape you as a person, how it does is up to you.

Well Somernites begin 3rd week in April, but we could meet before then if the weather warms up. Any idea what the operation hours are for the dragstrip in Bowling Green? I've been wanting to do that for a long time.

Man, I wish I could get some time off to come out there and hang out for the run, but I guess that is what happens when you are in the military. You don't own your own life anymore. Hopefully by July things will start to slow down a little. I am planning on taking the whole month of August off to go on a cruise to the Bahamas with my wife. We never got a honeymoon, so this will kind of be a late one. Anyway, after the cruise and everything we are going to be in Ohio for a week or so. I will let you all know dates as it gets closer. Oh, also we will be in Ft. lauderdale, and Orlando in the beginning of August.

I didn't go through the gf phase but I did go through that other phase. I was late teens. Not sure why it was just a phase. Now 23, doing that just seems rediculous. Before I was going to try it I decided to try the military first. Then my parents found out I was thinking of the military and they stopped me. Things got better and now those thoughts never have come back. You'll be alright man. I am coming up on 3 years in about two months with my girlfriend. If anything did happen I know and have seen plenty of chicks I wouldn't mind calling you know. So there out there now is the time to go find you some fun! Go enjoy some new girlies!!

Dude, I went through the same thing in high-school man! Had a g/f for 3 years, found out she cheated on me, we broke up, and man was I depressed. It took me a good 2 months to actually "get over it". But in the end, it was probably for the best. As much as "I loved her", I think it was better off. After the break-up, I finally got my license, got decent job, saved money, started college, and ended up getting the car I have always wanted; my GP! Sometimes, I wish we would cross paths and I would show her everything she has missed out on, but it's not even worth it. Now I got me a new g/f, she's outside sittin' in the driveway, that B**** costs money! haha.
But seriously, I hope you can get through this tough time. Time heals! (slowly) ...and all those other cliches (sp?) I def feel for ya man! (NO HOMO)lol
