Hello guys

I have 2 problems with my 2000 Grand Prix GT and I'd like to figure out, if possible, what the problems are, before going to a service shop (if this will be required).

The first issue: for speeds higher than 60Km/h, when I accelerate slowly, around 2000 RPM, there is an oscillation of the engine rpm. The rpm is going up and down with 100-150. If I push more the gas pedal, or if I release it, the oscillations disappear right away. There is no error code reported by the computer.

The second issue is there is an engine response delay of 0.5-1 second when I'm pushing hard the gas pedal. Before, the engine response was almost instantaneous. The problem didn't came suddenly, but now the delay is obvious. As above, there is no error reported.

Any idea/information would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Daniel

Depending in Toronto where you are, theres 2 decent tranny shops in the east end. Ones in Pickering, the other in Oshawa. If it goes that far and you want the numbers let me know.

Thank you for the answers.
The fact is the transmission was serviced 4000 Km ago, the fluid is red and clear, with no strange smell.
Another question. I know that, with the right reader (not OBD II error codes readers), one can read all the information the computer have, regarding the car's systems. In case there is a problem with the torque converter, you think this can be detected in a service shop with such reader?

Thanks,

Daniel
