So I was on my way home today, I was in the 4runner, which is stock, aside from a K&N air filter (not a FIPK, just a filter). anyway, there was a guy in a 90-93 honda accord, if you looked up "ricer" in the dictionary, this car would be the picture! Fart can, body kit, big wing, etc. He starts revving the motor at a stoplight (I was in the lane next to him).

I normally do not race, but this guy had it coming. I only "race" up to the speed limit anyway, but the light turned green, and I handed him an a** whoopin.

I KNOW how slow those older accords are,(used to own one) so I knew I'd win anyway. I guess the fart can and the TYPE R sticker were not enough of an HP gain to get him a win.

the best part was when I hit the speed limit I just maintained the speed limit, after he caught up, he did the classic ricer fly by (after the loss, not sure what that means exactly??)

4runner- FTW

Be careful, you can still get a ticket for exhibition of speed.

There's a ricer in my neighborhood, whose exhaust can be heard for several blocks. Every morning he fires it up, and revs the engine to like 7000 rpm for 10-15 minutes. I keep hoping his engine throws a rod through the block... laugh

good kill, but you can still be stopped for street racing, regardless of what speed you top out at. Too bad you didnt get a pic of the goober, but good kill anyway.

We had a guy like that in the neighborhood except it was an old POS carbureted truck that he had to rev to keep running. I was so happy when that guy moved away.

My guess is either the car can't fast idle on it's own, or he just wants to get his money's worth from the extra tach mounted on the dash... crazy lol

I think its funny when these guys install a racing clutch, and then wonder why they either kill it or do a burn out every stop. (maybe they think the burn out is cool).

I would call the cops for disturbing the peace or something. That's bull.

Well, apparently someone did complain, because this morning his car was backed into his driveway, and his warm up was a lot quieter... wink

I like the rumble of performance exhaust, like any car guy...but the obnoxious bumblebee sound..Silly Ricer! crazy

there are some pretty loud motorcycles out there too. Harley's seem to have no noise regulations.

I am really not sure what all the hype is about , making your car sound like a bee hive. Monkey see, monkey do I guess.
