I finally picked up my new motorcycle. It's a 2003 Honda CBR954RR with 603 miles.

154hp
370lbs
1/4 Mile: 10.23s @ 137.57mph
Top Speed: 164mph

This was a showroom bike, all the mods were installed by the dealer:
Micron Exhaust
Chrome Wheels
Tinted Windshield
Rear Undertail

It's in the storage garage. It's going in the Want Ads for $1500.

Runs like a dream. Starts right up, no problems. Can't wait for the warm weather.

I've beat the hell out of my 600. It has 24k miles, was totalled in an accident, rebuilt, and still takes a beating. It starts right, never has any problems, and since I've owned it (4 years), it has only been in the shop once. And it was all my fault.

I bought it when it was totalled in an accident and rebuilt it all from scratch. The one time it went to the shop was because I did not winterize it very well and has to have the fuel system flushed out. That's the only problem I've ever had with my 600.

I wouldn't buy any other motorcycle than a Honda.

It's a good starter bike. I'd recommend looking at something in the 600cc range. Don't go any higher or it's more than likely you will hurt yourself.

That same logic is why I started with a 250 smile Mine however is a cruiser not a sportbike. Look around for a used Honda Rebel. You can find one for about 1500. Spend about six months on that to learn how to ride and to use for your MSF course and Liscensing process. Then once your comfortable you can sell that same rebel for what you paid for it and step up to a bigger bike.

I don't have any pics, it's in a storage place a couple towns away.

I'm having second thoughts about selling it anyway. It ain't worth much, might be better for me to hang onto it and let my little brother learn how to ride on it.
