Driving to the grocery store I saw a new VW Beetle with a ram hood. WTF?!

Not only was it hideous, but I fail to see how you can "ram" air into the vents on a circular hood.

It was just all wrong. Wish I had my camera with me.

Do the new beetles an engine in the front? Or like the older ones from the 70's, rear engine?

New Beetles are built on the Golf platform. Forward engine.

Wish I could find an online pic of the hood I saw. The vents were so big it was kind of like a cartoonish raptor hood off a trans am.

Having CAI is ok. It could add 4 HP. Ram hood is ok as long as it is conservative.
If it is huge, unpainted and doesn’t go with the contour of the car then

boooooo!!!

yes, and you should go around Puebla, which is a state where is one of te biggest VW factories in the world, is VW Town, crowded with Beetles, Boras, Jettas, Golfs.
By the way we just call beetles those from 98-05, before that is "vochito" cheers

Well this could be photoshopped, but, there are a lot of clubes for "vochito" VW sedan, around the world, and they make a lot of modds to this car
