I joined up with a local car/racing forum and this past weekend a bunch of the members chipped in and rented a local drag strip for the day for just forum members to race & watch. It was incredibly fun -- hanging out with a bunch of car guys, no crowds, a beautiful sunny day and lots of very fast cars.
Couldn't run the GTO because they were only accepting slicks or drag radials, but maybe next time - they're planning for another one in the fall.
Anyway, quite a few cars in the 12's & 11's, a good handful in the 10's, a couple running consistent 9's and two running mid 8's! Holy crap some of the cars were amazing!

...the black T/A did look pretty awesome lauching so hard...I cant get over how tall his WS6 hood was.
