just don't go TOO small, you need to keep the aread around the filter open so you can pull in air better.

Yea, thats what i was worried about, it does kinda cut it off. but ill kep lookin around for some weird thing lol maybe get like a 25* angle pipe nd connect it to the pvc pipe and make the filter forward, so then i can throw a cool box on there ?

im gonna try some weird thing on sat. and friday night lol ill get a post up about it

Is it worth it though? The heat would transfer through and would be essentially worthless. I can see this being a good base for making it more heat resistant though.

I wouldn't worry about the heat transfer. You'd be real surprised just how much heat that thin plastic would keep out. If it really bothers you you can double the trash can and put some insulation in it.

If it bothers you that much about heat. Go spend a couple bucks on some wide aluminum tape and go crazy on the outside of it. Problem solved. 0 Heat transfer.
