So last night I stayed up till 12 in the morning to be the 8th person in the Gamestop in the Willobrook mall to get an X-Box 360 lol. It was well worth it i think. Got the console with 2 games, but I think I'll be playing Perfect Dark Zero the most hah. I know of alot of people who got screwed by Microsoft and didn't get an xbox (me being one of those people). But luckly I have brothers and one of them preorderd one but ended up not being able to pay for it in time so I got his hah. Hes tring to be a dick now and saying that as soon as he has the money hes gona give me the money and take my X-Box no questions asked. I'd love to see him try hahah. Anyways, just really excited that i finaly got the system and I can't wait to get home and try it out. laugh laugh cheers devilgrin thumbsup

Oh and i also heard of a douch bag who was parading around Best Buy parking lot holding his X-box out of his car window. lol needless to say someone got sick of it and pulled the snatch and run and ran into some woods lol. Looks like he got what he had coming to him lol. I also heard that Target had 50 X-box's on preorder and told people they were releasing at 12 at night and there was such a big line at 7 oclock that they just sold all their x-box's to people who didnt even have pre orders.... If i were one of those people who DIDNT get an xbox I probably would have had pressed charges haha some how. lol

Anyone else here Preorder one?

Nope I'll wait till next month or so before I get one.

On a side note I wonder if this whole limited release isn't on purpose to get the product splashed across so many news reports so it'll generate that gotta have it and boost sales. They claim production problems on the limited supply I call Bull!!!!!

Yeah, I'm going to wait a while until the rush dies down a bit. I want to see what other games are coming out. I want to check 'Scarface'. I must admit that when I saw the 360 demo on a LCD screen, I started to drool.

That guy who ran into the woods got what he deserved. Smart a$$!

BTW, it's Microsoft's evil plan. They said they were going to have around 500,000 systems ready and they had 300,000 systems ready as of last night.

Let's see what PS3 will bring...

I think Xbox360 is the only new one for Christmas. I don't think the others are due out until 2006. I also heard the number of games that will be available to x360 will be second to none.

I'll keep playing my regular Xbox until 360 gets down to the $200 or less range, in a couple of years.

Thats what I said until I woke up this morning. After calling all Best Buys, Targets, Toysrus's, Shopkos, K-Marts and Sears I have given up and am forced to wait. I've never seen anything like it. Usually when people pre-order things you can walk into a KMart/Toysrus and pick it up no problem. This is kind of insane. Also PS3 looks pretty slick, but if after seeing the console itself/the controllers I was not impressed.

Man you should throw the thing on ebay in a few weeks. Then you could buy yourself and your brother new ones in a couple months after the craze. Probably still have a little cash left over.

just looked

does anybody know a for sure date on the PS3 release date? I'm seeing dates like March 2006!! I think that this is horrible timing by Sony. If I were selling this I would get it out before Christmas!

Actually Microsoft rushed the Xbox 360 to market early (ala like every other microsoft product)trying to get ahead of the game. Sony is making sure they get it right the first time.

The 360's library will only rival Sonys if you get the full-package 360. It's the only one that's fully backwards-compatible. The stripped down version, well, sucks. But if Nintendo ever gets their crap together, it will put both libraries to shame, since it's supposed to be backwards compatible with every system it had before the Revolution. Yes, even Virtua Boy. lol

But I'm waiting for the PS3. Sony is just awesome. They always seem to know what they're doing. Yay Japanese. laugh

Check out G4's review of some of the X360 games. Some weren't all that fun. The madden game isn't that impressive. Call of duty 2 is expected to be one of the best.

As soon as PS3 comes out, I'll be picking up a PS2. I try to stay a generation behind. Full choice of games, a lot cheaper, plenty of accessories available. My little brother has a PS2, but I haven't played since I moved out.

Thats actually a good idea. As long as you stay a generation behind, it doesn't matter.

Check out www.ebaumsworld.com in the videos. They have a video of a guy smashing a xbox360 in front of a bunch of xbox fans at the stores. hilarious.

Has anyone heard about the guy selling his Xbox 360 for one million dollars on ebay. 95% of the Million goes to cancer research here in a Houston Hospital. Sounds pretty kool, My brother found it off of one of the gamming forums he goes to all the time.

I doubt anyone would buy it though.

i also am wanting to wait on the ps3 to come out. i will still wait though and let them make a bunch of them before buying the the first model to come out.

the new xbox 360 will definitely screw your game disc up by moving it around from vertical to the horizontal positions. it says not to in the manual, but sometimes things happen and they get knocked over if they are in the vertical position. i think the thing to do is still wait for microsoft to make a couple revisions to it to get the bugs out of it before purchasing one. i think sony has something like 13 or more revisions to the ps2 since it hit the market.

i could have got a new 360 premium bundle for $200 before they were even out, no clue on how the people got them, but if i wanted one, i'd probably got one. i thought about buying two and selling one on ebay. that would've paid for one of them and made the other free.

i just hope it doesn't take too long to figure out how to mod the ps3 once they come out and not going to be such a hassle to get copies of the games or burn them. as long as you have your ps2 modded, you can just go to blockbuster for most of the games unless they are dvd9, rent it, and then make a copy of it, and then just take it back. you can either burn it or put a hd in your ps2 and play it off that. i think that the new ps3 is planning on using blueray discs or something(haven't kept up on it) and that it holds a lot more info than a regular dvd does.

have all but 4 games that were released in the states for my dreamcast. have probably 300 or so games for my ps2, but haven't got any new games lately because something is wrong with my computer and always screws up something up in the game somewhere in the copy or burn process.

i wouldn't mind paying for more games, if they just didn't cost as much. with so many great titles out there, it is just hard to afford them!

i have an atari stuck away somewhere, i don't know, but i think it is over at my parents friends house.

i don't consider burning them all that bad. no difference though than the people who have netflix and just rent copies all of the time and just make a copy of it. easy way to have a huge dvd collection or back in the day, a vhs collection.

i don't see a problem with cd's either. there have been cds that i have bought and there will be 2 songs on there that are good. i don't know, just my opinion, but it all goes back to the first thing made that they allowed you to make a copy of something. if they are going to make it, it will be used by somebody.

i can see how cds could be a problem though today with it being so easy for somebody to do, but with a system like ps2 or xbox, there are people out there doing it, but it is not like there are a ton of people. most people have no idea about them, have no knowledge about it, or even know where to look for the stuff.

BonnevilleLover, i'll see if i can find out where i sent mine or a place you can send it to get it done. i tried doing it myself on my first version ps2 and total screwed it up! i sent mine off to canada to some guy that was really good.
