That's only good for knocking the salt off! smile

It takes a crew of eight about four hours to properly clean a C-130.

It's a pretty dirty job. I'll have to take a pic next time.

must be the drive thru version...I saw a show on PBS last week about the 109th airlift wing of the air national guard that fly the "SkiHercs"...they deliver personnel and supplies to both Antarctica and Greenland...I had no idea their missions were so complex and dangerous...and once again the C-130 proves what a versatile and venerable aircraft it truly is...if they ever plan on replacing the Herc, it had better be one helluva cargobird.

That pic above is of the "new" generation. It flies about 10k feet higher and about 70 knots faster then mine frown Oh and they can go farther on less fuel too!! They carry 18k pounds less fuel then we do. So the long haul cargo load is greater too!!

We're limited to about 30k pounds of cargo for a seven hour flight where they can take 48K pounds of cargo for a seven hour flight!!
