OK, I need to order a new power cable for my Alienware laptop (and this isn't the first time...). I called them, and it's out of stock. They gave me a couple websites to try, and THEY are out of stock. I can't find one on Ebay.

Anyone know of any website to look at to try and order a power cable for an Alienware m9700 laptop?

This laptop has been a lot of fun, but next time I get a computer, it will NOT be from Alienware. Their service SUCKS.

Alienware used to be the coup de grace, but then somebody bought them out and they need to be the ones put out of their misery.

Sorry I can't help you with the power cable issue.

Thanks anyways Rook. I'm browsing Ebay right now, looking for something that might be compatible. I've been using my dad's AC adapter, and he has a Gateway laptop, so I know they are out there. I suppose I could buy another one for his laptop, but his little box gets a lot hotter than mine did.

I'm gonna go by Fry's Electronics tomorrow before I buy anything online though, and see what I can find there.

Have you check universals with various plugs?

He's talking about universal power packs that have lots of voltage and adapter options to fit many devices. You can get them in most electronic sections.

Dell bought Alienware. This is the kind of service I've heard about Dell.

Dell is not putting the quality into Alienware anymore, they are in their XPS systems witch are far more high quality then alienware and actually very nice systems. I used to work for Dell tier 2 tech support, so I've been dell certified in many of their models.

If that's the case, it's a shame they ruined a good name brand for high level PCs.

That's actually what Fry's sold me. I got home, and it works with the laptop - or so I thought. Despite being plugged in, and the charging light being on, the battery life kept dropping. It couldn't supply the power my laptop needs. hammer
