Rook: an intercooler is a supporting mod, not a mod with which to gain power. It's purpose is to support other mods and allow you to extract more power from them.

Can you get me a link to the JAW thing? That was that kit they guy made that you had to sodler yourself right?

Also, got a part number on that 02 sensor?

You can gain power on a setup by adding an intercooler and increasing timing. It doesn't have to support a smaller pulley to increase power.

i think it was 10to1.com or 12to1.com .... something like that. I dont have a part number. I think its a bosch out of a new jetta

I'd be curious to test that theory. Any time you cool air, you're increasing power. Just by being installed, it does that.

ZZP did a bench test ith one of their IC set-ups.

Without changing anything (timing, pulley, etc.) they pulled a few ponyies just from adding the IC. IIRC it was like 5 hp.

So you're both right.

ICs support things like smaller pullies and increased timing by cooling the charge temps, but at the same time, because the charge is being cooled and condensed, there is a little more power from the IC alone.
