You see all the people on the defensive? I mean come on I ordered from them twice the first time was good the second time I had a hell of a time getting in contact with them because of a shipping error that needed correcting before betty boop recieved my parts instead of me.

Did you see Zoomer's response? I was appalled.

They moved the thread to a less visible one. Way to go.

I see what you are saying but they moved it to the correct section, just like any mod here would have done.

But I 100% agree with Zoomer in both of his posts. If anything it makes me want to deal with them even more.

He could just hire a high-school student to answer questions but like he said, their are only a few ppl in his company that would actually know the answer to your question and I'm sure Zoomer isn't going to want to pay them $20+/hr to answer emails all day. If they spent all their time answering emails then ppl would be upset over them not having the time to tune cars or install parts. So many people can only do so many things in so many hours.

I do see what your saying Herc, about the short and sweet "we have received your email" but would you really acknowledge it knowing that its just an automatically generated message? Perhaps he could hire someone who is atleast somewhat mechanically inclined to answer the easier questions that you wouldn't have to be a 3800 specialist to answer. Then set aside some time to reply back to the questions that would require Matt or Tim to answer. <-- I think this is more along the lines of feedback that he is talking about. BUT this is his business and he has so far been very succesful so I would have to say he atleast knows a thing or two on running it.

As for him telling it like it is, would you really want him to say what you want to hear but not see any action to back it up?

And to think that the guy who spends $5 should receive the same service as the guy who spends $5000 just isn't right. Think of it as your money. If you had $5 in your left hand that wants an email back right away and $5000 in your right hand that wants you to install his turbo, what would you pick? Yes you could argue that he could just send an email and then go do the install but their are HUNDREDS of emails a day.

I respect his honesty and lack of sugar-coating.

I do get the money gets the attention but to ignore a customer for days on end is still unacceptable.

A business can't ignore the little people because that's eventually what keeps a company going.

If ZZP doesn't have the time or the resourses to address the small issues maybe they should get out of the small parts business and stick with the big stuff.

It sounds to me ZZP has gotten too big for it's own good and needs to expand but I don't see that happening.

see the thing is that the little people have potential to become bigger and spend more money if their past experience is good. so a guy that buys a $50 MAF sensor may eventually want to get a turbo set up or a new built trans for thousands of dollars.

1 bad experience would definitely stop me from purchasing something from a vendor in the future.

I agree with you soulonfire11 that person that spends little bits of money is a long time customer. But no matter what amount of money you are spending a customer should never be put on the backburner.

I think they should hire me to answer e-mails.

I've got great customer handling skills, because I've worked in a deli for 7 months, and drywalling for 3 years.

I've got a wonderful work ethic. A job isn't done unless it's done right.

I'm very skilled with computers and e-mails clients.

I've also handy in the shop. I know my way around a 3800.

I've got the right amount of knowledge of the product I'm selling and well as the medium I'm using to sell it. I've got great people skills and work standards. I fully believe in working for the customer first, then the company, and lastly my own paycheck.

I feel I could be EXACTLY what ZZP needs right now. Too bad I live 4 hours away...

Zerg, a lot of us could do that. I'm a manager at a parts house, I have 3 years experience handling customers and answering phones... plus I've done my own engine and tranny swap on a 3800 vehicle.

Fact is, Zoomer and his cronies don't give a rats ass. They have your money and they're happy.

hutchinson, you're wrong in your estimates. I guarantee you that most emails are about small questions to do with shipping, parts arrival, and other odds and ends. They could hire a person to answer those emails and forward the technical ones to more knowledgeable staff. That way people who need to know about their shipments or hanging orders will indeed get an answer.

I've spent somewhere around $1500 with them overall. However, I find their work ethics disgusting and I've been using Mike at WBS lately.

I had wbody store issues too, but it was with the power tuners when they were backed up for an unknown length of time. It was just lack of communication.

I ordered mine through WBS as well, but I knew they were backed up, so I must have not paid much attention there. I got mine a lot sooner than I thought though.

That is a very simple solution to what really is a very simple problem. I'm currently hiring people who have no expertise, to handle very little things for me, so I can focus on the bigger and more important things. Besides, why can't they set aside 1 hour a day to answer those tech questions? They could get through quite a bit of them.

I run a restaurant. Is it the same? No, but it has plenty of similarities, because the point is still to keep the customer happy, and therefore make money. Saying the customer who spent more money has priority is bull, unless all you care about IS money. And like many people said, the smaller customer could be a future big one.

I've never done much business with ZZP, but I was planning on it - now I'm not very sure I want to. Maybe something will go wrong, maybe not, but if it does, I at least want to know it will be taken care of. I can forgive mistakes, I know s*** happens. But you have to be willing to take the time to fix it.

Especially the way Zoomer answers them...

Customer: I'm having a question about the SS M90 kit. Do I really need to have the blower ported? What is the purpose, because I'd really like to save the money and avoid it if I could. Thanks!

Zoomer: Yes.
