I know probably half the people in here hate Jeff Gordon, but I think he's probably the best out there right now. Always has crazy finishes. The Daytona 500 kicked ass!!

I was so siked that Jr. took the lead too bad he couldn't hold it. I bet if it wasn't for KB Jr. woulda won.

Wow, I totally underestimated DEI and Hendrick after the poor showing they had last week.

I am not a big Gordon fan, but I really can't stand Jr. I was glad to see anyone but Jr. win.

Yep, for my fantasy team this week I picked Jimmie Johnson and Waltrip. I had the right idea, just wrong teammates. Jr and Gordon would have got me a lot more points.

I like Waltrip. He's a funny guy, and classy too.

I cant help but root for an underdog...this is the super bowl of nascar and when a guy has been racin for 30 years (well, I guess he's had his shots) but I was hopin Rusty might win before he hangs up his helmet. (its the Philly/Buffalo syndrome)

A part of me was hopin number 2 or 6 would win but. They are just gettin to old. We are coming into a new age of NASCAR. Any bets on when NASCAR will stop the race at lap 200 for a 20 minute break so some sponser can throw a big half time show? My money is on 2008. Any takers?

Yeah, I'm with UMFan, anyone but Jr. is fine by me! And T-Bat, I was kinda feeling sorry for my St. Louis homeboy Rusty since he's done after this year and still never had a Daytona 500 under his belt, even though I'm not really a big fan of his.

I guess its easy for me to be more objective with nascar cuz I really dont have a fave driver. I dig it mostly cause its auto racing. Probably the closest I may have come was Tony Stewart...that was only cuz he was drivin a GP and I like Home Depot (one of my fave toy stores)...before that maybe Bill Elliot or Ryan Newman because when Ihad my Trep and Dodge got back into nascar I thought it was cool...I do agree with Herc tho, the advertising thing is gettin outta hand.

Ryan Newman is by far my favorite. But I'm realistic when it comes to restrictor plate racing....Newman sucks. wink

I thought it was kinda' funny how the guys in the booth were talking about Tony Stewart after the race. "You run up front all day and don't have a scratch on your car, then after you cross the finish line you start beating the car up with someone else".

Good race. I was glad anyone but DEI won, not that I'm not a fan of DEI, but enough is enough. I would have been thrilled to see Scott Riggs win. He was running up front all day long.
I'm a huge fan of the underdog, or first time winners. I can't wait to see Kasey Kahne's first win.

Well, it was a good race. People may not Jeff Gordon but he had the flag at the end. Gotta give him respect.

my driver B.Labonte blows an engine before his tires even get hot, then leffler(#11) crashes so he cant even help out Stewart, like he was gonna be any help any way. Boy you talk about someone that wanted to throw the dam tv off the roof.

on top of that my wife likes Jeff.

i told her invite him over for dinner so i can cook him something that will run out of him faster then the car he drives.

boogity boogity boogity lets go racing, MYASS.

i got the feeling its gonna be a long yr. mad mad
