Just purchased a used 04 GTP, previous owner installed those plastic window vent shades (where you can let windows open a bit w/o rain getting in) Since I'm not a 'fan' of these, I asked dealer if they can be removed. He said he tried but cannot remove the residue where the plastic visor was attached to the plastic window trim top piece, so he reattaced. Anyone know what to use to remove these? Thanks

You could probably buy a can of 3M adhesive remover from .. well, anywhere. WalMart. That'll probably take care of any sticky thing that could possibly be on your car.

My '00 SE had the same vent shades on it. Lucky for me, most of it came off due to the adhesive being exposed to the elements. For the rest of the stubborn residue, I used Goo Gone.

If you are just going to throw those vent shades out, I might be interested.

An easy way to remove the ( i will call it the glue ) is to get an automotive eraser. This is found at autobody supply shop's. will fit into a drill and cost's about 7 buck's. it won't damage your paint, a simple method and effective HTH.
