Ok -- My wife drives a 2004 Pontiac Vibe 4 speed auto, FWD; pretty much loaded.... anyway there we are at a red light (2 lane road we are in left and cougar is in right..( the right lane ends about 1/8 mile) and a Late model Mercury Cougar 2-door V6 pulls up next to her... now normally my wife is pretty reserved but today she said "no way" - I laughed and said "honey, come on that is a 2-door V6".. Needless to say the Cougar was inching.. and the light turned green and my wife punched it.. the cougar took a small lead (the only lead it would get) the vibe went thru 1st and 2nd holding its own and the cougar only had about a 3 feet lead, neither car gaining or losing, until the cougar's lane ended and my wife backed off knowing that the cougar was going to cut us off (which it did) - All I could do is laugh and say "HOLY CRAP THAT WAS A 2-DOOR V6, and could barely take a Vibe 4 door with its 1.8VVT engine" And people pick on GM If I was in my 2-door V6 anything and could not take a Vibe I would sell the car and shoot my self. And yes the Vibe is bone stock. But I want to add the GM availible SC, but the wife says Would have been even funnier to see the look on their faces as the Vibe with the SC blew past them -- Like my GTP would have...man why didn't I drive agin?

lol. People don't pick on Toyota, and that's what your wife's Vibe is. 130hp, but they're light. They'll move if you step into the gas. Dude, let's hear some stories about 4-door family sedans...*cough* GTP *cough* smoking V-8 Mustangs.....come on, somebody has to have one

Cool story Jizz
well I have an "almost raced" story. I was coming up on a light that starts a mile long straight on my way home from work and see the insanely bright BUHHHLUOOOO 91-93 Honda accord (DX of course) with a 2 foot wing, shark hole front fenders, 18" white rims with rubber band tires, a coffee can exhaust, stickers all over the side windows and lower door panels and the kicker, HUGE Letters on the rear bumper that say "GOT NOS?" It was the ultimate po-boy ricer.
After almost 1.5 hrs on I-95 with the kooks and morons, Im thinking no, no nos, but I got 7 psi of boost that says I dont need it. I hate when people advertise blatant BS with their cars and you just KNOW they cant back it up.
So I pull up to the light and look at the driver, expecting some 19 yr old with one hand draped over the top of the wheel. No, its this 50+ year old Indian guy with coke bottle glasses, I almost died laughing.
He's prob driving his kid's car from somewhere and HATEING every second of it. I started laughing and almost busted a gut right there. The sight of that old guy in his kids car just was too much. And if it was HIS, OMG that would have been too much to take.
I just had to tell someone
