I cant decide what i want an AR-15 which is an assault rifle, or an Intercooler. Both cost about the same, but i still need to install the I/C which i dont know how much it would cost. The AR waste bullets which run about $150 or $200 for 1000 rounds, which i can waste in two different visits. So what should i buy? What do you guys think? I already own an Romanian AK-47

Do you own an AK in .308? devilgrin

You can get the ARs for less if you build it and use names other than Bushmaster, Colt, or Armalite. You can build one off a kit for a shade over $500. Check out Model 1 Sales and look at their kits. All you need is a stripped receiver ($100~) and a basic tool kit and you're in business. The uppers are already assembled.

As to you dilema, I'm in a similar situation. I'll be getting some spare cash in the next few weeks: 1911 or GT bumper covers and side skirts? laugh

Get the intercooler.

Too expensive for bullets.

Think of the speed when you do some more mods and drop to a 2.8" pulley.

There won't be much meat left from shooting something with the AR-15. crazy

If Jose goes the cheap AR15 route I mentioned, he can get the ZZP short stack intercooler and an AR. Not as good a full one, but it's pretty damn close to getting your cake and eating it too.

Framos, an RIA. I keep hearing about people ranting and raving how good they are, for a cheap price (about $100 under the Springfield GI). From there I can customize it with new hammer, saftey, etc. and mold it to my taste. I wouldn't ever buy anything from Colt, they're politics are a turn off.

Alex, interesting fact: 600 people died for accidental shootings in 2000. During the same year:
-16,200 died from accidental falls.
-11,700 accidental poisoning fatalities (solid/liquid).
-5,300 accidentaly died while walking down the street.
-3,900 deaths from accidental drownings.
-3,600 accidental deaths by fire.

and.... In 2000 43,000 died in car accidents.

I'm sure your post was tongue in cheek, but sarcasm never really transfers across written words. smile For anyone else, whenever someone quotes gun accidents as a reason for regulation/restriction of firearms, just remember the above.

Forget the AK...Go for a Barrett .50 caliber. Just kidding. I would go for the intercooler.

Ditto. I could care less if someone dislikes guns or what not (so long as it isn't my girlfriend or wife lol ), but I start having problems with it when you want me to conform to your views usually through legislation.

Caesar, the store I bought my AK at (in a much more innocent form) had a Barrett behind the counter for sale. Price tag read $7500. I asked them if I could pick it up and got to fondle it some. Feels odd to hold a device that cost more than your car.
