My SC quit while I was on my way to pick up a buddy. Either that or the boost meter was not working...but I also didnt feel the supercharger kick in. It's probably something simple but does anybody know what could be wrong?

like they said, the only way it could quit is either the belt came off or it broke, but i bet it is something simple.

if the belt is on it and it is showing no boost, just sit there and rev it up and see if you can hear it give off the s/c whine!

Chances are the idler pulley broke. Pretty common problem above 30k.

Okay, the belt is still on but I don't know about the idler pully? Could it have anything to do with gas?

If your idler pulley was gone your belt would be super loose.

Maybe take off the belt and see how free the pulley spins. It should spin with no resistance at all, other than that, I'm lost. confused

Hello,

Boost bypass stuck open?

Not sure what the cure is, just thinking out loud.

Later now,
Clint

I like Clint's idea. It shouldn't be too hard to check and if it was the problem this would be the symptom. Boost Bypass Valve Removal
Check the link to see what to look at.

I know this is a very old topic, but my dad said today when he drove the car to church, the supercharger was not working. He said you could floor it, and it just didn't have any power. When he came out from church though, he said it was working. Just wondering if you had any ideas on this.

Kirmie's link to the boost bypass thing is not good anymore!

I'll have to look at it in the morning and check the belt and check the oil in the supercharger too, but it just seems odd that it wasn't working and then it started again!
