Most people here have the older 97-03 model, so we rarely have reason to post in the GXP forum. There are a few GXP topics floating around in the other forums, though.

Welcome, congrats, and pics! One reason this forum is so dead may be because there are no GPX's around.

I'll have to find a place to host some pics after I take some. My camera is at my girlfriends.
I've racked up 400 miles already (she lives in NY, I'm in Southern NJ, quite a trip) and like the ride alot. Its much more torquey then my 97 GTP was.
Its black, and has every option that I am aware of except the MP3 capable stereo and navigation system, which I don't see where that would go anyway, does it replace the DIC?
I'm kind of shocked the car has no spare tire, what if I have a blowout? The dealer even had the balls to charge me a NJ tax of 1.50 a tire and charged me $7.50. I was unaware there was no spare at the time.
I'll probably take it to Atco and do a couple runs on the 27th if the weather permits. Best I got in my old GTP in 2 runs was a 15.05 so I predict 14.5 - 14.75 with this car. Anyone think that is a reasonable estimate?

Welcome as well ! Are you anywhere near Totowa/Wayne? I saw a black GXP on Rte. 80 heading east earlier this week around Exit 52 or so. I was heading west on my way home from work so it was probably around 6:15 p.m.

Doubt it was me, I live near Deptford. I was up in that general area Sunday though.
Definitely have to try and get some pics this weekend before the car gets christened by the New York drivers :p

Besides the pics - which any new owner on here should post :-D - you may also want to check out the local Grand Prix clubs near you. There www.macgp.com and a few others actually in NY that I can't remember but that should get you started. Good luck!

There's also the Jersey Shore Club Grand Prix, which my being a member proves you don't have to be super close to the shore to count . Most of the meets are in Middletown, near Red Bank. I don't know of any upcoming but I'm sure there'll be something before the end of September.

That has been pointed out to the mods and admin already. Don't know the status on that.
