Its being called the G8 ST. http://jalopnik.com/400357/pontiac-g8-st...-now-sleep-easy http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/14/officially-official-pontiac-g8-st-it-is/ Personally, I'm glad its not being called the El Camino. For some reason, I really want one of these. BTW: I'm post #2 in this section. Woohoo!

Actually, that was the placeholder name. They also called it sport ute. They had a contest to see which name to use.
Dunno. I'd like to test drive it and see. If I see one on the road, that would convince me. Its different as I don't see many on the road. Heck, I've only seen 1 regular G8 on the road.

Personally, I don't like the way it looks. The G8 looks good, but not with a bed in the back.
But, that's just my opinion. To each his own.

In Australia, it's been known as the Ute for the past 18 years or so.

It's projected to be brought over for a 2010 release as a Pontiac G8 ST.

I don't like the name as well, its just too plain. They should of called it the G8 spear, that was the entry I made.

From a division that calls their cars G8, G6, G5, the name "ST" comes as no surprise I'm actually surprised it isn't G8 T.
