Need a little help trying to figure out how do u get a ring along the outer the edge the rotor. I can hear the grinding when I turn the wheel sharply but not all the way to the right or left. Has this happened to anyone before?

Could be a seized or poorly lubricated guide pin.

It's your caliper grinding the rotor.
One of the pins has probably seized creating a lobsided grab and release scoring your rotor.
Trust me that happened to mine.
I have a thread on it.
1" ring on my rotor.

This is the subject:
Rotor has 1" circumference grind mark...Hopefully fixed
