Hey everyone! I don't know if anyone is still on here from back in the day but I use to post on here all the time when I had an 01 SE. I have since gone through a Colorado and a Silverado and now I am back to a 05 Grand Prix GT. I bought it knowing it had a problem with the transmission... from what I am told by the shop, it is where the 2nd gear drum was made too thin and it is grinding down. The dealer paid me $900.00 to get it fixed but I am wondering how serious of a problem it is. Right now it only shutters occasionally between the 1-2 shift. The whole reason for trading the Silverado was to save the gas (was spending over $100 a week on it) to help pay off some other debt and what not. I am very tempted to just put this $900.00 check towards the other debt but I wanted to see if anyone knew how big of an issue this was first.
