I dont know how many here are familiar with Japanese anime, and may or may not be fans. There is a wide variety and several have been dubbed and re-cut to market here in the states.

Many years ago, I got hooked on watching an anime series called "Star Blazers" which in its Japanese form was called "Space Battleship Yamato." Here is the website for the film...

The release was 12-1-2011 in Japan, so who knows how long it maybe before we see a version here, but hopefully it will arrive on video within months. The trailer looks impressive and true to the anime roots of the story.

I use to watch star blazers all the time.

I'm pumped to see the film, plus I've been combing the net to find version of the old series. Amazon has box sets but they are pricey, and some available for download.

The graphics of the ship in the trailer look top notch, as well as the firing of the wave motion gun
