Last year I put in a dhp pcm along with other mods one being performance shift knob, the tranny was shifting nice,to make it even better I installed zzp shift kit now its amazing.so I park the car in the garage for winter the battery dead.now that car is back on the road tranny shifts sloppy.could the dead battery reset tuned pcm. Any advice plz.

Being very new to the whole tuning thing, I don't KNOW for sure, but I do know that SOME things reset after sitting for at least 30 mins, most don't. I hafta let someone else chime in, but I'd be trying to hunt something else other than the PCM down.

No the dead battery didn't change the tune parameters of the tranny. I'm guessing letting it sit for several months allowed fluid to drain down. I'd give it a few runs to square it's self away.

dead battery can't "reset" the PCM tuning.. it's still got the same tune it had before the battery died.

but the GP transmission is adaptive shift. And when the battery went dead, it forgot how hard to shift the trans.

Just drive it for a while, and the car will keep adjusting the shift pressure as it relearns.

Whenever I write my PCM, my trans always gets soft on the shifts. It just needs some time to adapt, like other said.
