Hi everyone,

I have a 2004 Grand Prix. Since this past winter I'd turn on the fan [for heat/vent/ac] and the fan doesn't always come on. If I whack the side of the console [like the Fonz] the fan will come on...sometimes full blast, sometimes just blowing even though the nob is turned to full.

Any thoughts out there as to what's going on and what I need to do to fix it?

Sounds like you need a new blower motor. You could take it apart and clean it up. I did that with mine a few times till bushings were completely shot then I replaced mine.
