is it necessary to have a puller for your supercharger pulley or does it make it easier... honestly i dont want a $110 tool for a (hopefully)one to 2 time swap

Yes you absolutely need it.

Many of snouts have been ruined because the wrong tool was used for the job.

The problem with regular pullers is they bend and tweek the pulley your taking off and it then digs into the shaft and ruins it.

Some places will rent you the puller so you don't have to buy it.
