um nothing....lol. due to the fact that there are really no other decently affordable/fast fwd vehicles out there. most people go with an ls1 of some sort or some rwd vehicle.

It's purely anecdotal, but what I've noticed is that a vast majority of those that owned GPs and got rid of them for one reason or another normally come back saying that they bought another or that they lament the loss of their once-prized chariots. A good stand-in would be any of the other W-Bodies such as the Impala, Monte Carlo, and Regal.

I opted for a Bonneville, mostly because I always loved the look (and because my son needed a car, which is how he got my GP)

Out of the crop of newer machines, I like some of the freshly restyled Chrysler products, the Ford Fusion and new Focus are pretty cool, and I like the Hyundai Sonata Turbo as well as its sister ship, the Kia Optima Turbo.

The new ponycars are nice, but way overpriced, and nothing GM has these days really turns my crank.
I've also always had a sneaking desire for a Mini, for a weekend road track stormer...like a grown-up go-kart.

But for now, Bonnie the Ghosthawk is filling the bill nicely.

I'm all over the map about what my "next" car is going to be. Stipulations are must seat 5 with as much if not more room then the GP, four doors, 20s mpg around town and can get out of it's own way. I've been eyeing everything from another W body, CTS (have to test drive one to see what room it has), cross over, etc etc. If some one can find me a decent looking minivan that can get out of it's own way I'd even look at that.

I actually have a '10 Malibu, which I think is going to be replaced by a '96 Camaro with the LT1.

I didn't have the LTZ 'Bu or anything, but the interior design annoys me as nice as some of the features are. At 23k miles, I'm having small annoying issues already: random rattles, seats that aren't the most comfortable, rear cup holder broke, and right rear window switch doesn't work. Haven't bothered to take it in to have it looked at, but seriously... I think I like GM's older designs rather than their new ones.

Still have the GP for what it's worth. No plans to get rid of it.

The Grand Prix is semi retired now that I'm starting to get some repair/restoration work done. Getting some underbody rust repaired...then I'm planning on a rust free hood and some new paint for the old girl. Then redo the seats. Down the road I want to pull the motor/tranny and reseal everything.

The "new" DD is my 01 Monte Carlo SS. It's not my Grand Prix...but it's a nice car regardless.

Ya I missed mine alot. so i got rid of my v8 mustang and upgraded to a 3800 99 firebird recently. i cant believe how much better the 3800 is all around. Ill tell you what there is a reason ppl dont drive their stangs all year. they cant take all season driving. I will never go to a mustang again. cheaply built, never felt the connection to the car as i did with the gp.

I either want a 4-cylinder turbo of some sort, or an electric conversion. I'm thinking the electric conversion would be a lot of fun.

my mom had an 06 Uplander before she got her 06 GP and it spent more time in the shop then it did in our driveway in the 6 months we had it it was in the shop 14-15 times the major issue being when you drove through a moderate downpour the water would get thrown by the tires into the passenger compartment through holes in the floor panel. it also had a ton of electrical problems.

Interesting, man. My van never gave me any problems at all. Perhaps I got a fluke serial number?

My Malibu has displayed some random electrical issues itself that are ghosts. They appear then disappear never to return. The one I remember the most is the SRS light disabling airbags of its own accord. It did it for like a month straight while I was busy working out of town, then it stopped never to return.
