no worries. This is all about firearms. Granted, originally for my kids...but I ain't worried. If we killed any topic that went even SLIGHTLY askew on this site, we'd never have anything to talk about! lol, keep it comin!

I've been wanting a 6.8 or 6.5, just don't want to invest anymore money into the AR atm for a new upper. Some of the best things to happen to the AR design has all occurred within the last 5 years or so lol.

LMAO!!! Ranger? A lil presumptuous, arentcha? Haven't GONE to Scout school yet and pretending you're all hardcore! LOL, welcome to the board, man. These kinds of topics don't pop up too often, but you are welcome to hang out if'n you wanna.

Whatcha mean "got the can for [the 6.8mm]"? Is that the lower? I would LOVE to shoot that 5.56 again! Man, that was SUCH a sweet-shooting weapon! OH! and I got the M44 a buttpad, 5 stripper clips AND a laser boresighter. I need to get that beast back out to the range, for sure!

Rook, I agree. The gas piston, the scopes, the modular trigger assemblies, improved materials, more varied chambers and barrels...LOL, these are the promised times that we live in, indeed, gentlemen! LOL!

By "Can", I think he means suppressor.

After reading again, he could've had a typo.

Naw school is in Jan, can+ silencer, and Ranger well hell thats what I drive dont worry Im thinking it needs a chevy heart the 5.0 swaps are getting overrated now. Plus the wife drives the Grand Prix lol. Yeah def need to get out to the range Im thinking 29th or so. But yeah thought I would duck in and see what you was chatting about to me on FB. So who and what needs to be built? If your really interested and want to do some research Im over on AR15.com a bunch of great guys and such loads of info also. I can build whatever and get it FFL shipped to wherever all depends on the state for the options though.

I'll recommend ARFCOM as well (ar15.com). I've spent a lot of time over there before I built my AR and they have a great equipment exchange section if you're looking for used parts or discounted new vendor items.

I thought school was sooner than that. Hmm. The truck, btw, is looking SHARP! A SBC in a Ranger? That'd be cool. 29th to go shooting? Can I tag along? If so, can I bring the neighbor kid with me? He wants to learn how to shoot handgun and rifle better AND to get some experience with his shotgun.

HercMan is the dude who would like an AR built as a retirement gift to himself. Thanks for popping in and giving me a hand with this. Herc is in the DFW area, not TOO far north from where you call home.

Hercman if your interested in building it yourself I can give you a few pointers or if you want to have me build it just let me know or Richard.

Dude! Ranger! You know better! Rick, man, RICK! And I'll be sure to let the neighbor know. He's something like 20-22 y/o, so he's good for legal requirements.
