99 gt. my pos battery cable from battery has clamp on wire end. i think this is a repair clamp? supposed to be a molded end cap? changed battery and wondered if i should get new cable. where does other end go? starter? fuse block? going by memory here. should be easy to find one at junkyard for cheap? or is it a cheap store/dealer item?

I wouldn't worry about it. If it was done right, it will hold for a longggg time.

Took off neg cable and bolted was crudded up. Corrosion but threads looked ok after I wire brushed them. Took off pos bolt and threads were stripped. Got new bolt. Car starts fine now.

I have a bolt on connector on mine. Went to change batteries and the positive end and bolt were corroded together and when I went to unscew the bolt the whole fitting came out of the battery. Cut that end off and put a bolt on connector about 5 years ago.
