looking to get about 300whp out of my car. However im trying to keep my gas mileage above 17 city and 25 highway. im currently getting about 20/32. what mods should i start with and should i cam my car? some people say i have to and others say i shouldnt cam it. not really sure how i feel about a cam because this is my first build so to speak. thanks for your help!

If you are after hp and mgp. Then I would focus your money one flow mods. Ported everything ( heads stage 2-3, blowers, lim, tb). Headers a must. Not going with a cam will make 300 whp hard. I would go with a mild cam like vs or even a gt cam. You will prob need bigger injectors for this power level. A wide band and someone who really knows how to tune, as you will be trying to get more timing and less boost. You will also want a true cold air intake and not an open cone sucking hot air. Upgraded rad and other cooling mods
